Rasmussen Samlingene has become a natural meeting point for musicians. The rooms and surroundings encourage focus and creativity, and many well known Norwegian performers, including the trumpeter Ole Edvard Antonsen, have given concerts here.<\/p>

Rasmussen Samlingene offers space for music to grow. Seven grand pianos and newly refined acoustics create an environment that supports everything from quiet individual practice to ensemble rehearsals, concerts and seminars. The atmosphere is calm, generous and designed for concentration.<\/p>

Twice a year we open our doors to visiting pianists and chamber musicians for an intensive week of playing and exchange. Our rooms, gardens and accommodation on site give performers the chance to work deeply, develop repertoire and explore new ideas.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

Edvard Grieg Korene<\/h3>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Edvard Grieg Korene has its home at Rasmussen Samlingene and rehearses here throughout the year. It is the largest choir organisation in Bergen and includes singers of all ages across ten choirs. Its two professional ensembles, Edvard Grieg Vokalensemble and Edvard Grieg Koret, are known for their distinctive performances and for their collaborations with leading cultural institutions in the region.<\/span><\/p>

Their presence brings a vibrant choral energy to the collections, enriching the daily rhythm of the place and adding to its musical landscape.<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

Klaverakademiet<\/h3>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Klaverakademiet brings together talented pianists and young performers at the beginning of their professional journeys. Three masterclasses are held here each year, including one during the Bergen International Festival. Students travel from across Norway and abroad to study, rehearse and perform.<\/span><\/p>

Concerts produced in partnership with organisations in the region form part of the academy\u2019s teaching, and the programme is recognised both within Norway and internationally. The academy was founded by Professor Jiri Hlinka and is now led artistically and educationally by his former students Leif Ove Andsnes, Geir Botnen, Havard Gimse and Christian Ihle Hadland.<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t
